Running

Never being one to shy away from a challenge, I'm going to train for the Burnie 10 too. Starting tomorrow I'll be running 3 times a week (provided that the weather holds out). The added benefit is that to continue bulking I'll need to eat even more food!!!

Dare I ask why you want to continue to bulk up? Dragging 75kg through 10km is bad enough, but if you add an extra 20kg it's putting a lot of strain on the legs - how much lower body strength work are you doing? Just make sure you keep your running buildup nice and gradual, otherwise you risk doing some damage.

And what's this about never being one to shy away from a challenge? I still am yet to see you at footy training.

Because running is my second-fiddle activity, not my main goal. The reason for me doing the running is to a) supplement bulking, and b) work on combating the fat gain that comes from taking in an excess of calories.

If my main goal was running, then I wouldn't be bulking. But I'm using it to supplement my weights routine.
